Easter Sunday 08

Today is Easter Sunday. God in His perfect providence granted that we would have the purest whitest snow of the year today. What a beautiful picture as we were driving to church. I told my family of the verse in Isaiah 1:18, "Come now, let us reason together, Says the Lord, Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool." God is declaring to us through this pure snow that the Son has risen and forgiveness of sin is granted on behalf of his people. Only in Christ will we ever be pure before God. Only because Christ suffered and died and made atonement for our scarlet sins and crimson stains will we be accepted by the Father. Praise be to God for His infinite mercy which has been brought to us through the justifying act of Christ's suffering and obediance.
