Biblical Inerpretation 11
In the application of the principles of interpreting grammatically one must be able to fully comprehend the author’s intended meaning. The interpreter must know when the author is speaking figuratively, when he is speaking literally, when he is using a metaphor, when he is using a simile and so forth. The classification of all the different literary styles of writing used in grammatical interpretation is called tropes. One must have a solid grasp of literary construction and the uses of phrases and sentences to convey meaning.
