Biblical Interpretation 1

It is the basic responsibility and duty of the Christian to interpret the Word and rightly divide it (II Tim. 2:15). One should be able to handle the Scriptures with knowledge so as to know the way of God and by that way avoid heresy and stay in true orthodoxy. In order to walk in the truth, to lead a righteous life, to receive blessing, and indeed to be successful in all of life and in ministry is all dependent upon ones adherence to the Word (II Tim. 3:16, Ps. 1). It is essential to live a life of faith and for that faith to be fed with the truth of the Triune God. All through the Scriptures an emphasis is placed upon ones duty to know and follow what has been freely given by God (Deut.6).
